With great sorrow we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Devorah Markowitz A"H*, mother of Steve Markowitz.
She will be flown from Dallas, Texas to New York Monday afternoon. Her Levayah will be at the Shomrei Hadass Chapel in Boro Park (3803 14 Ave., Bklyn., NY) Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Steve will accompany his mother to Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalaim where she will be buried on Tuesday.
He will be IY"H returning to New York Friday morning (Erev Shabbos Ki Seitsei) where he will be sitting Shiva till next Monday morning (Labor Day).
*For those who don't know the Nifteres was a special person. Her bravery and Emunah as a 15 year old during the seige of Budapest was remarkable. For six months she almost daily exited the apartment where her parents and brothers and sisters were hiding to secure food for their survival, while assuming the role of a Hungarian Gentile. Had her Jewishness been discovered she would Chas V'shalom have been sent to the death camps.
