SHEMA TEFILLAH, Veten Tal Umatar MAY BE INSERTED BEFORE SAYING R¹TZEH.
IF ONE BEGAN TO SAY R¹TZEH, ONE MUST RETURN TO THE BRACHA : BARACH OLENU,
WHICH IS THE PROPER PLACE FOR Veten Tal Umatar. IF ONE HAD ALREADY
COMPLETED THE SHEMONAH ESREI AND STEPPED BACKWARD, THEN ONE MUST REPEAT THE
ENTIRE SHEMONAH ESREI.
IN ANY SITUATION IN WHICH A PERSON MUST REPEAT THE SHEMONAH ESREI HE MAY
FULFILL HIS OBLIGATION BY LISTENING TO EVERY WORD OF THE CHAZZAN¹S
REPETITION FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END, WHITH THE INTENTION OF THUS

(IT IS ADVISABLE TO REPEAT 101 TIMES (AT THE VERY LEAST 90 TIMES).

See the Rav for any questions.

R. Yosef Simcha Ginzburg, Rav of Omer says that we do not stop during
Davening to announce this change, we only knock on the Bimah as a reminder.
If one forgot and remembers at the next Tefillah he is to say the Amidah
twice, one for the Tefillah at hand and the second for the one before.
